Mexico Bariatric Center’s Baton Rouge seminar took place on June 27, 2015. Guests piled in as President and CEO of Mexico Bariatric Center (MBC), Ron Elli, Ph.D., and bariatric surgeon, Dr. Ismael Cabrera opened their presentation on weight loss surgery in Tijuana.
Seminar Information
During this informative presentation, Dr. Elli, and Dr. Cabrera covered an array of topics, including:
- Obesity Statistics in New Orleans
- Health-related risks of being obese
- Contributing factors to obesity
- Medical Tourism for bariatrics and plastics in Mexico
- Bariatric surgery options offered at MBC
- The new-patient experience
- Accommodations and what makes MBC the bariatric center of choice in Tijuana
The attendees in this event consisted of former MBC patients, as well as men and women considering bariatric surgery in Tijuana. As a token of our gratitude, we at Mexico Bariatric Center offered a discounted gastric sleeve surgery package to one randomly selected winner. All who attended that were considering gastric sleeve surgery, filled out a health questionnaire during the event for a chance to win the discount. One lucky winner’s name was pulled at the end of the seminar in a random drawing!

About Mexico Bariatric Center
Mexico Bariatric Center (MBC) operates out of Hospital Mi Doctor, a certified hospital in Tijuana, Mexico. The MBC surgeons specifically specialize in bariatric surgery and perform only a limited number of procedures per day in order to reduce complications and ensure personalized care. Prices for surgery within countries such as the United States and Canada can be drastically higher than those of MBC if you can not get insurance to cover your procedure. Wait times for surgery are another factor, which can be overcome with our fast process that allows patients to potentially undergo surgery within less than a one-month window after submitting their health questionnaire.
