We enjoyed seeing all guests who attended the Edmonton Weight Loss Surgery Seminar on August 27th, 2016. This event served as a unique chance to meet our CEO/Founder, Ron Elli, and one of Mexico Bariatric Centers’ top bariatric surgeons, Dr. Louisiana Valenzuela.

At this forum, former patients and individuals considering bariatric surgery in Tijuana all came together for the unique chance take in some quality information. Guests were given the opportunity to hear from Ron Elli, Ph.D. and Dr. Louisiana Valenzuela as the following topics were covered:

1 in 4 Canadians are obese (ranging from a 23.3% to 25.4% obesity rate nationally)
Obesity is most common in ages 45 to 54 at 32.6% and those ages 55 to 64 at 36.5%
The overall prevalence of obesity is highest in men ages 45 to 64 at 38% and in women ages 55 to 64 at 35%
