Our requirements for the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass in Mexico are as follows;

  • BMI of 35+ (or BMI of 30+ if revising a previous weight loss surgery)
  • Age between 16 and 75

Reasons to choose gastric bypass;

  • You currently experience Acid Reflux or GERD
  • Have significant weight to lose
  • Willing to take vitamins long-term for malnutrition

The guidelines for gastric bypass in the United States require a body mass index of 40+ (or 35 with obesity-related comorbidities).
