Gabrielle is a former patient of Mexico Bariatric Center who underwent Mexico Gastric Sleeve with Mexico Bariatric Center® (MBC) on February 5th, 2016. Below, are her words on why she chose to get surgery, her experience with our company and staff, her success, and what she’d want to say to any who are considering surgery.
Gabrielle Had Surgery on February 5th, 2016, and has Since Lost 100 Pounds!
“I’ve always battled my weight, and I constantly was doing everything I could to lose the weight. No matter what I just couldn’t lose or I would gain the weight back for no reason. I hated what I saw in the mirror, and I physically felt so bad. Everything started to hurt, and I was having chest pains.”
“I’m getting married in May of this year, but at the time I knew I wanted to have a healthy future with my fiancé, and I knew I wanted to have children one day. That would not be possible at the weight I was at.”
What Made Her Decide to Get Surgery
“In December 2015 I had enough and started researching weight loss surgery. I met a woman who had bariatric surgery, and I saw her amazing results, I knew I wanted that. The more I researched I felt that the sleeve was exactly what I was looking for. Personally, I felt that it had the least amount of complications afterward. I also felt it was less invasive of the two options.”

Positive Changes Since Undergoing Gastric Sleeve Surgery in Tijuana
“Oh wow! Everything! I feel amazing; I have so much energy, I feel healthy. My skin has a glow, and I love how I look in clothes. I gained a confidence I never had.”
Mexico Bariatric Center and the Support Group
“Every single person at MBC was incredible! It was honestly the most welcoming and warm environment. Leila was my coordinator, and she helped answer every question I had. She was so awesome and even checked up on me after. My drivers Victor and Willie were the best! All the nurses were so attentive. MBC Staff and Coordinators in the U.S. and Tijuana were so amazing.
He answered all my lingering fears and calmed me down right before surgery. I did meet some fellow “sleeve sisters” that what we call each other. We support each other with whatever we need because we are the only ones who understand what we are going through. I love the support group!”
Her Words for Those Considering Surgery Who are Unsure
“Key points for people that are unsure would be:
- It’s scary, but there are so many amazing things that are going to happen on the other side of that fear.
- Start changing your eating habits now because it’ll help you after surgery to adjust to eating better. Same with exercise.
- Know that you aren’t alone and that you will always have support from people who care and people who have gone through it.
- Don’t wait for a “real-time” to do it. It never comes. Just book the surgery and do it! Too much thinking is never good.”
