Your companion has numerous options to keep occupied during their visit. A variety of excellent restaurants are just a short walk from both the hotel and hospital. They can also explore nearby points of interest, such as casinos, parks, shopping malls, and beaches. Note that your companion will need to arrange their own transportation (except during arrival/departure and while visiting the patient at the hospital), which can be conveniently managed through affordable and widely used Uber in Tijuana, the complimentary Hotel Shuttle, a rented taxi, or our drivers if available.

The hospital prohibits outside food and beverages for both patients and visitors. All meals will be provided by the hospital to ensure the patient’s nutritional and dietary requirements are met throughout their stay.

Places for Companions to Go -Mexico Bariatric Center

“We strolled a short distance from the hotel to a small store called Znak, where we picked up some food for my husband. I grabbed a couple of shrimp-flavored cup noodles for myself, just to sip on the broth for a change of taste. The total came to $32 USD. We also bought a styrofoam cooler they had there for $7 USD. Crossing the street was a bit tricky—no crosswalks in sight, so we watched for a break in traffic and followed the locals’ lead. On the other side, we found a charming taco stand. My husband ordered three pork tacos, which came with a bowl of vegetables and a bowl of salsa, plus a Diet Coke. He raved that they were the best tacos and salsa he’d ever tasted, all for just $6.75 USD. There were other tempting food spots nearby too. We decided that once I hit my goal, we’ll return so I can sample more of the local flavors.” – Summer (Bariatric Patient)
